THE ADAMO GROUP

Adamo-Fall-41The Adamo Group is a licensed 501(c)3 organization, aimed at using small talents to achieve big outcomes. We take a unique approach to educating and empowering women that have been exploited by the expansive sex industry in the United States, especially  trafficking survivors.

The Adamo Group is driven by it’s mission to change the lives of women who have suffered abuse by providing scholarships for state licensed trade school training. While we work towards our BIG goal of offering professional training to marginalized groups of women first hand, we are partnering with housing organizations to sponsor beauty school scholarships for survivors of sex trafficking and abuse.

WOMAN BEHIND THE MISSION

AdamoSummer-Fall-36Carrissa Bradford, founder of The Adamo Group, is in love with everything nails and service.

As a young girl, Carrissa frequented her neighborhood nail shop with her mom as a way to spend quality mother/daughter time and decompress after work (she started working for the family business at 9!). Carrissa and her mom enjoyed the time together, they  would engage in deep conversations. As she grew up, Carrissa was always fascinated with the art of manicuring and found herself desiring a career in the field. At the at of 20 she became a licensed manicurist and found herself supporting her clients emotionally, spiritually, and socially while she pampered them physically. After becoming a CASA advocate in her hometown she discovered a great deal of passion for the injustice of child abuse and the foster care recipients. Finding direct ties to the victims of sex trafficking and foster care children, Carrissa knew she need and wanted to make a difference.

Mix her passion for nails with her passion for using her small talents to make a big difference in the community and you get the ingredients for Adamo. Carrissa uses the small talents she has to offer hope to marginalized women around the country and is honored by your partnership to make it all possible.
